"Violent Stomach" is the second studio album by Portuguese electronic act Lizzy's Husband. Originally due for release on September 2014, the album's release was pushed back to 16 January 2015, when it was released through Mimi Records.

The album was composed, recorded, mixed, mastered and produced by Renato Freitas between July 2013 and December 2014 at his home studio, in Guimarães (though most tracks were ready by July 2014). In total, 23 songs were recorded for the album, but only 11 (bonus tracks included) managed to appear in the final track listing. The album also features the participation of other musicians, such as David Dias.

"Violent Stomach" themes are inspired by Cláudia Lucas Chéu book "Violência - Fetiche do Homem Bom", which was the key factor for Renato to start working on the album. The album is essentially an electronic rock album, (a completely opposite of "A Loud Silence", which features a more industrial/ambient sound) keeping, however, the same connection between rock and industrial music. Renato has been influenced by rock bands/artists such as Placebo, Marilyn Manson, Nine Inch Nails, The Kills, Crystal Castles, Milla Jovovich, Björk and Sky Ferreira.

"The Love Song" was unveiled as the album's lead single. The song was written and produced by Renato and was released to Bandcamp on 11 October 2014, while its music video was released to YouTube on 9 November. On 31 December, "Violent Stomach", featuring David Dias, was made available for streaming on YouTube and Bandcamp. On 10 January 2015, "Love Satellite", one of the album's bonus tracks, was made available for streaming on YouTube.

Renato defines the album as "Very electronic, very rock, very eclectic, with different moods and vibes along the album that will provoke different sensations to different people. An album full of strong songs dedicated to my friends, specially to Cláudia Lucas Chéu."
